Hali Duncan

Hali Duncan graduated from the City University of Seattle with a Master’s in Counselling in June 2020. She loves her work as a counsellor and is grateful to be working with her wonderful clients.

Prior to Clinical Counselling, Hali worked in multidisciplinary clinics (including Creekside!) as a Kinesiologist.

In her counselling practice, Hali’s theoretical orientation is eclectic. She draws on various modalities to help her clients reach their goals and feel better in life. Hali has chosen to work from a trauma-informed perspective in her practice, and values bringing this lens to all her client relationships.

An important understanding in her work is that trauma is an integrated experience between the mind, body, and environment, and that each individual has a different, unique reaction to a traumatic event. Hali’s practice is aimed at supporting, regulating, and soothing the nervous system, which is wonderful at responding to daily challenges, but can sometimes overreact, causing us panic and distress.

Hali has completed Level 1 & 2 EMDR training through EMDRIA. In her spare time, Hali teaches Highland Dancing, and takes part in outdoor activities like skiing, running, hiking, biking and paddling.

If you are interested in trying Counselling, you can schedule a 20 minute complimentary “Meet & Greet” with Hali.
