Welcome to Rails to Trails!

Along the stretch of paved path between Kimberley and Marysville, we’ve marked four places to stop for exercise. For each location, we designed a set of five or six movements. Scan the QR code posted at each location, and you’ll find instructions for each — including videos, so you can follow along with us!

 Station 1: Cardio

Station 2: Strength

Station 3: Balance

Station 4: Core

Northstar Rail 2 Trail runs from Kimberley to Cranbrook, nestled in between the Purcell and Rocky Mountains. Perfectly suited to cyclists, runners, walkers, snowshoers, and even roller bladers, this gorgeous, 28 kilometre stretch offers wide views of our mountain valleys, lofty peaks, and expansive forests.

At Creekside, our goal is to promote the health and wellbeing of all our community members. So, we’ve installed four signposts indicating places to stop for movement and exercise, complete with our guided instructions and even instructional videos, along the stretch of the Northstar Rail 2 Trail just south of Kimberley.

The health benefits of cardio, strength training, and balance training are innumerable — they all contribute to greater overall health, improved performance, and injury prevention. And what better place to do them than outside in the fresh air!
