Allissa Keane has been a registered and practicing acupuncturist since 2013. Her initial post secondary education was in psychology before transitioning to the study of Chinese Medicine. Allissa has found that acupuncture has many benefits but where it is particularly effective is in the treatment of pain and injury. In the Spring of 2018 Allissa completed the Acupuncture Sport Medicine Apprenticeship Program with Whitfield Reaves which for her elevated the integration of Chinese Medicine Acupuncture with anatomy, western orthopaedics, and sports medicine therapeutics. Allissa is a strong advocate for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine as a principle modality in treating pain and disease naturally amongst our current health care system.
This is her second time around living in Kimberley in the past decade and plans to stay put as her and her husbands lifestyle revolves around the outdoors and the amazing mountain community!
